Definition of Bullying:

Bullying is the intentional display of aggressive behavior by one person towards another, causing harm. These behaviors can manifest in various forms such as threats, insults, violence, exclusion, and gossip. Bullying encompasses not only physical attacks but also emotional and psychological assaults.

Effects on Students:

Bullying can have serious effects on students. Firstly, students who are victims may experience low self-esteem, depression, and anxiety. Those subjected to bullying may lose their motivation to learn due to the negative experiences in school.

Additionally, witnessing bullying has negative effects on other students as well. This situation can create an atmosphere of insecurity in the school environment and adversely affect relationships among students.

Preventing Bullying:

Preventing and combating bullying is a crucial responsibility towards students. Schools can teach students social skills such as empathy, respect, and collaboration. School staff are responsible for providing a safe environment for students and encouraging them to report bullying incidents.

In conclusion, effectively addressing the issue of bullying, supporting students, and creating a safe learning environment are fundamental tasks for educational institutions. Providing information to students about combating bullying and raising awareness in the community can contribute to establishing a healthier and safer educational environment.
